M is for. . .

M is for Moms.

It is no secret I want to be a mom. We hope that adoption will make that dream come true.

But moms have been in the news lately. It is the age old question of stay home mom or working mom. All moms are working moms. I don’t think either choice is easy. Every family makes a choice depending on many factors.  There is also not one right choice and there are moms who make a different choice at different times in their lives.

"We women have a lot to learn about simplifying our lives. We have to decide what is important and then move along at a pace that is comfortable for us. We have to develop the maturity to stop trying to prove something. We have to learn to be content with what we are." Marjorie Hinkley

Here’s to you and the choices your family makes. The wonderful thing about living now is moms can make different choices and if the choice doesn’t work the family can try something else!

Come by tomorrow for a quote.  On Monday, find out what N is for. . .

You're right! My son was conceived via IVF, which wouldn't have happened had I been born at even a slightly different time. Good luck to you in your journey!

It is an age old debate, isn't it about stay at home mom versus work at home mom versus mom out of the house working, but you are right, it is what works best for the family that is the best decision made. I think a lot too needs to be discussed prior to having kids and priorities made if the family decides they want the mom to stay at home after the kids are born or the family is made through adoption.

And you are right, every mom is a working mom.

I do hope one day you can get to be a mom, it is a very rewarding, very tough, very hard, very fulfilling, sometimes very painful experience but it is one that those who want to experience it should have the opportunity to pursue, whatever method a family is made or one becomes a mom (speaking as a mom of two adopted children :)

I guess I was lucky had three children without any problems.
My daughter when a teenager was told she was unable to have children due to having Poly Cystic Oaveries. Years went by and her dad passed away.......4 months later she found herself pregant and Harry was born on the Christmas Eve. she has since miscarried twice so I like to think it was a parting gift from her dad.
I wish you both luck in your pursuit to become parents.

God bless you and I wish you the very best. Our triplet girls were conceived though IVF after twelve years of unsuccessful fertility treatments and our son was conceived with a gestation host.

There is no greater feeling than being a mom. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I am a new follower form the challenge.
